1. Introduction & Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to StatementExcel, operated by CCC STUDIO ("StatementExcel", "we", "us", "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our AI-powered services, including the conversion of PDF bank statements into structured spreadsheet formats, available at https://statementexcel.net (the "Service").

By creating an account, subscribing to any plan, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you: (a) are at least 18 years of age; (b) have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms; (c) agree to our Privacy Policy; and (d) are authorized to enter into this agreement on behalf of yourself or any organization you represent.

⚠️ Important: if you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. Continued use after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Service Description

2.1 StatementExcel provides an AI-powered platform that extracts transaction data from PDF bank statements and converts it into Excel, CSV and related formats. The Service is a digital Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) product delivered over the internet.

2.2 The Service is a digital, intangible product. Access is granted immediately upon payment confirmation. Because of this immediate delivery, refunds are subject to the specific limitations in Section 7.

2.3 AI model dependency: the Service uses third-party AI model providers (hosted on US infrastructure) to perform data extraction. Performance and availability may be affected by these providers' operational status. Users will be notified of significant disruptions.

3. Account Registration

3.1 Using paid features of the Service requires an account created with accurate, complete information. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.

3.2 Notify us immediately at security@statementexcel.net of any unauthorized use. Do not share credentials with third parties. Keep your billing email address current.

3.3 If you register on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that entity to these Terms.

4. Subscription Plans

We offer monthly subscription plans (currently Starter and Pro) for access to the Service, alongside a limited free tier. Current plan details and pricing are available at https://statementexcel.net/pricing. Unused page quota rolls over for one month as described on the pricing page. We reserve the right to modify plan features or introduce new plans; price changes follow Section 5.1.

5. Billing & Payment

5.1 Auto-renewal authorization: by providing a payment method and subscribing to a paid plan, you expressly authorize recurring charges of the applicable subscription fee to your payment method. This recurring authorization remains in effect until you cancel under Section 6. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle unless cancelled.

5.2 Taxes: unless stated otherwise, listed prices exclude applicable taxes (VAT, GST, sales tax). Where required by law, taxes are collected at checkout and remitted by our Merchant of Record.

6. Cancellation Policy

6.1 You may cancel your subscription at any time, either online (Account → Subscription → Cancel — recommended) or by emailing cancel@statementexcel.net from your registered email address. Cancellation takes effect immediately; a confirmation email is sent promptly.

6.2 After cancellation, your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period; no further charges are made. Account data is retained for 90 days after cancellation and then deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

7. Refund Policy

7.1 Because our digital service is delivered immediately, subscription fees are generally non-refundable, with the following exceptions.

7.2 Refundable situations:

• New-subscriber 7-day guarantee: first-time subscribers may request a full refund within 7 days of the first charge, provided usage has not exceeded 20% of the plan's page quota.
• Duplicate charges caused by billing errors: refunded in full.
• Verified service outages longer than 72 hours caused by us: pro-rated refund or service extension.
• Statutory rights: where applicable law grants withdrawal or refund rights (e.g. the EU/UK 14-day cooling off period), those rights are preserved.

7.3 To request a refund, email refunds@statementexcel.net with your account email, transaction ID and reason. We confirm within 2 business days and process eligible refunds to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

7.4 Not refundable: fees for used subscription periods (except Section 7.2); accounts terminated for violating these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy.

8. Billing Disputes

If you believe a charge is incorrect, please email billing@statementexcel.net before initiating a dispute with your bank. We respond within 2 business days and resolve confirmed billing errors within 5 business days.

9. AI Content & Intellectual Property

9.1 Output ownership: subject to these Terms, the extracted data generated from your uploads ("Output") belongs to you.

9.2 Input license: by submitting content to the Service ("Input", e.g. bank statement files), you grant StatementExcel a limited, non-exclusive license used solely to provide the Service to you. We do not use your Input to train AI models without your explicit consent.

9.3 Third-party AI models: the Service relies on third-party AI model providers. We do not guarantee specific output quality and are not responsible for content generated by third-party models.

9.4 Output accuracy: AI-extracted data may contain errors. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying Output — including using the built-in reconciliation check — before relying on it.

10. Acceptable Use Policy

10.1 You may use the Service only for lawful purposes consistent with these Terms.

10.2 You agree NOT to use the Service to:

• process bank statements or documents you are not authorized to access;
• generate unlawful, defamatory, harassing or fraudulent content, or falsify financial records;
• create malware, phishing content, or tools for cyberattacks;
• infringe any third party's intellectual property or privacy rights;
• circumvent or interfere with security features or usage quotas of the Service;
• resell or sublicense access without prior written approval;
• violate any applicable law, regulation, or card network rule.

10.3 AI-specific prohibitions. You additionally agree not to:

• use the Service's inputs, outputs, model responses or derived data to train, fine-tune, benchmark, distill or otherwise develop any AI or machine-learning model that competes directly or indirectly with the Service;
• systematically scrape or harvest model outputs at scale beyond your authorized personal use;
• present AI-generated output as the work of a licensed human professional (e.g. accountant, auditor, financial advisor) in contexts where this could cause harm.

11. Data, Privacy & Security

Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy at https://statementexcel.net/privacy. Payment card data is handled exclusively by our PCI-DSS-compliant payment processor (Waffo Pancake) and is never stored on our servers. Uploaded statement files and extraction results are deleted within 24 hours; account data is retained for 90 days after cancellation and then deleted.

12. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

12.1 The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or accuracy of AI output.

12.2 ⚠️ AI-generated content disclaimer: AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete or outdated. Do not rely on it as legal, medical, financial, tax or other professional advice. Always verify extracted data against the original statement before acting on it.

12.3 To the maximum extent permitted by law, StatementExcel is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages. Our total liability is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Term & Termination

These Terms remain in effect while you use the Service. We may suspend or terminate your account for material breach, suspected fraud, or where required by law. If we terminate the Service for reasons other than your breach, we will refund the unused prepaid portion pro rata. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@statementexcel.net.

14. Dispute Resolution

Before initiating formal proceedings, please attempt informal resolution by emailing legal@statementexcel.net. Most concerns can be resolved quickly this way.

15. General Provisions

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email at least 14 days before they take effect; continued use constitutes acceptance. If any provision is held invalid, the remainder continues in full force. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, form the entire agreement between you and StatementExcel.
